Task Specific Training
A Service Animal is defined as a dog who is trained to
perform a specific task for a person with a disability.
Different tasks can help the same disability and the same
task can help different disabilities
EACH DISABILITY REQUIRES SPECIFIC TASKS
LISTED BELOW ARE THE DISABILITIES WE PROVIDE TRAINING SERVICES FOR OWNERS TO TRAIN THEIR OWN DOGS TO BE SERVICE ANIMALS. FEDERAL AND STATE LAWS CLEARLY STATE AN OWNER CAN TRAIN HIS OWN DOG TO BE A SERVICE ANIMAL.
ANXIETY
This is probably the most common disability where Service Animals can have the greatest impact to help their owner. Specific task training must be individualized. We will discuss with each member the specific task training for that dog and its owner.
DEPRESSION
FORGETTING MEDICATION
Taking medication at a specific time or even at all can be challenging for some. We work with the individual to develop a schedule dictated by dog training and behaviors to help the person to remember when to take necessary medication.
CANNOT GET OUT OF BED
This behavior can be associated with anxiety, depression or can be a stand alone disability.
We work with the individual to develop a schedule dictated by dog training, behaviors and needs to help the person get out of bed and moving to start the day. Specific task training must be individualized. We will discuss with each member the specific task training for that dog and its owner.
PTSD
This behavior can be associated with anxiety, depression or can be a stand alone disability.
We work with the individual to develop commands and if necessary a schedule dictated by dog training, behaviors and needs to help the person with this disability . Specific task training must be individualized. We will discuss with each member the specific task training for that dog and its owner.
MIGRAINES
Migraines are a complex disease process and disability. We are able to help with some migraine presentations and patterns. Other types fit into our future training goals.
AUTISTIM
Specific task training must be individualized. We will discuss with each member the specific task training for the family, the dog and its owner.

As we evolve and grow as an organization, our goals we will be able to help more people and develop self training modules for addditional disabilities. Training for these disabilities may require increased associated costs. These include:

SOME training will always remain beyond our capabilities. Training must be done by a professional and does require 1000s of hours of training. In the future, we will donating money to help those in need get these type of Service Animals as well.
